Travellers book a seat and pay a small advance straight to you. They pick their pickup point. On the day, your conductor scans each pass, sees who still owes money, and knows who hasn’t boarded yet at every stop.

How Yano handles it
Advance now, balance at boarding
Set the seat price and how much is paid online (for example ₹500 of ₹3,500). The rest is due when they board.
On the day: When the conductor scans a pass, the screen shows “Collect ₹3,000”. One tap records that it was paid, so nobody pays twice or slips through.
Pickup points
Add your stops (Kashmere Gate 8:30 pm, Dhaula Kuan 9:15 pm…). Each traveller picks one while booking, and it is printed on their pass.
On the day: At each stop, the scanner’s guest list shows who is still to come at that stop, with a call button for each.
Passenger list in one tap
Download everyone as a spreadsheet: name, phone, pickup point, seat type, balance paid or due, and whether they have boarded.
On the day: Keep it on your phone for roll call, even if the network is weak on the highway.
Phone dead? Find them by number
If a traveller’s phone is off, the conductor types their mobile number into the scanner and checks them in from the list.

What it costs
Guests pay you directly — your UPI, or your own Razorpay or Cashfree account. Yano never holds your money. A credit costs ₹10 in small packs and ₹6 in the biggest; new organisers get 50 free credits. See pricing
Set it up
- Create the trip. Add the seat price, the online advance, the number of seats and your pickup points.
- Share the link. Post it in your WhatsApp groups. Travellers book and pay the advance to your UPI or your own Razorpay/Cashfree.
- Board with a phone. Send the scanner link to your conductor. They scan passes, collect balances and see who is still to come.
Questions organisers ask
Does Yano take a share of the fare?
No. The advance goes straight from the traveller to your UPI or your own payment gateway, and the balance is paid to you at boarding. Yano never holds your money.
How do travellers pay the balance?
In cash or UPI to you or your conductor at boarding. The scanner shows the amount due and your conductor taps once to record it.
Can the conductor use the scanner without an account?
Yes. You send them the scanner link from your event page. It opens in any phone browser, with no app or login.
What if someone boards at a different stop?
Their pass still works at any stop. The pickup point only helps you plan and call people who haven’t arrived.
Can I offer child or companion seats for free?
Yes. Add a ₹0 ticket type. Free passes never use credits.
