For organisers
For trek and trip organisers: seats, advances, pickup points and the money
Trips with strangers and weekend treks carry real money risk: the bus is booked whether it fills or not, advances come in by UPI from fifty people, and the balance is collected at 5 am in the dark.
Only confirm the bus when enough seats are filled
Turn on the minimum guest goal (say 25). Travellers reserve for free; when 25 join, everyone gets a payment link. If it doesn’t fill, nobody has paid — cancel without a single refund.
Take an advance now, the rest at boarding
Give a ticket type an advance and a balance — for example ₹1,000 now, ₹2,500 at boarding. The pass shows the balance; at boarding the scanner shows how much to collect and records it with one tap.
Let travellers pick their stop
Add pickup points with times. Each traveller chooses theirs while booking; volunteers at each stop see who is still to come, with phone numbers to call.
Accounts that add up afterwards
- A Money card shows paid at booking, balance received and still to collect — split by online, UPI and cash.
- Marked a balance as received late? Do it from the dashboard — for one traveller, or for everyone who came in.
- Added someone yourself (cash, WhatsApp booking)? Yano asks whether they paid the advance only or the full amount.
- Download the guest list for Excel with balances, dates received and the total received for each traveller.
Multi-day trips
For a 2–3 day trip, one pass can cover all days; day-wise activities can be sold as day passes, and the scanner lets each pass in only on its day.
If plans change
Change the date or cancel from your event’s Manage tab. Yano shows exactly how many travellers will be emailed before anything is sent. Refunds come from you, because travellers paid you directly.
Try it for your next gathering
Free to start. Guests pay you directly; Yano never holds your ticket money. Free events cost nothing.
Questions people ask
Do volunteers need logins?
No. Send them the scanner link on WhatsApp; it opens on any phone and can’t see your money or settings.
Can different trips have different advances?
Yes. Each ticket type has its own advance and balance.
