Yano ("Yano", "we", "us"), available at yano.club, is a software-as-a-service platform operated by Abhijeet Rai (sole proprietor), India. Yano provides event organizers ("Organizers") with tools to create event pages, sell and issue tickets, and validate entry using QR codes.
Yano is not the seller, promoter, or merchant of record for any event or ticket listed on the platform. Each event is created, priced, sold, and operated by its Organizer. Ticket payments are collected by the Organizer through the Organizer's own payment gateway account (e.g. Razorpay) and settle directly to the Organizer's bank account. Yano does not receive, hold, split, or route ticket money at any time. Yano's software observes payment-confirmation signals solely to issue tickets and meter usage.
When a buyer purchases a ticket, the contract of sale is exclusively between the buyer and the Organizer. The Organizer is solely responsible for the event taking place as described, entry management, pricing, applicable taxes on ticket sales (including GST on ticket face value where applicable), refunds, and cancellations. Yano provides the ticketing technology only.
Organizers pay Yano a flat per-ticket software fee via prepaid credits. One credit is consumed per issued paid ticket; free (RSVP) tickets do not consume credits. Credits are non-transferable and do not expire. Credit pricing is published on the homepage and may change prospectively; already-purchased credits keep their validity. GST at applicable rates applies to credit purchases.
Organizers must: (a) hold any licences/permissions their event requires; (b) use their own, lawfully held payment gateway account; (c) accurately describe events and honour issued tickets; (d) comply with applicable law including tax obligations on their ticket revenue; and (e) not use the platform for unlawful, fraudulent, or prohibited events. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.
Buyers must provide accurate contact details (used for ticket delivery and recovery). Each ticket QR admits one person once. Buyers should keep ticket links private — anyone presenting the QR first will be admitted.
Ticket refunds and event cancellations are governed by the Organizer's own policy and processed by the Organizer through their own payment gateway. See our Refund Policy for details, including refunds of Yano credit purchases.
The platform is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yano's aggregate liability to an Organizer is limited to the amount that Organizer paid Yano in the six months preceding the claim, and Yano is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, event outcomes, or acts and omissions of Organizers, buyers, or payment gateways. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
The platform, its code, and branding belong to us. Organizers retain rights to their event content and grant us a licence to display it for providing the service.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts of competent jurisdiction in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
