Everything you need to know about hosting gatherings, collecting payments via UPI, scanning passes at the door, and operating on Yano.
Payments & Direct Personal UPI
₹0 Gateway Fees
When you enable Direct Personal UPI in Dashboard → Settings, you enter your personal Google Pay, PhonePe, or Paytm UPI ID (e.g. name@okaxis) and Payee Name. When attendees check out, Yano opens their preferred UPI app with the exact payment amount pre-filled. Funds transfer directly from the buyer’s bank account into your personal bank account. You verify the payment in 1 click in your dashboard under "Approvals & UTR" to issue the pass. Zero KYC, zero business registration, and ₹0 gateway fees!
Gate Scanning & Entry Verification
Zero App Downloads
Volunteers do not need to download an app or create an account. Simply share yano.club/scan and your event’s 6-character Gate Code. They open the link in any smartphone browser (Chrome, Safari) and scan QR tickets with the camera in 0.4 seconds. Each pass admits one person exactly once; duplicate scans display a bold red warning with the exact prior check-in timestamp.
Pricing, Credits & Tax Compliance
Pure SaaS Model
Traditional ticketing platforms take a 10% to 15% percentage cut from every ticket you sell. Yano charges 0% platform commission. To sustain our secure infrastructure, digital HMAC passes, and browser gate scanners, organizers purchase simple B2B software credits (flat ₹6 to ₹10 per issued paid ticket). You receive 50 free credits on signup to test!
Gathering Superpowers & Curation
Indian Gathering Features
For singles mixers, cultural festivals (Garba/Dandiya), or dance socials, Yano can automatically balance crowd ratios. If registrations for one gender exceed the opposite gender by more than your chosen limit (e.g. +2), sales for that gender automatically pause until the other gender catches up.
