Yano feature
Ask guests questions when they book (and get the answers in a spreadsheet)
Most organisers end up running a Google Form next to their ticketing — and then matching names between the two. Asking at the moment of booking removes that whole step.
What you can ask
- Instagram handle — popular for socials, mixers and community events.
- T-shirt size for runs and treks, food preference for dinners, experience level for workshops.
- Company or college for networking events.
- Anything else, as a short answer or a choice from options. Mark any question as required.
Where the answers go
- On each guest in your dashboard (Instagram handles become tappable links).
- In the guest-list download, one column per question — ready for Excel or Google Sheets.
- On the request, when you approve guests before they pay.
Tips
- Ask as little as possible — every extra question loses a few bookings.
- Say why you ask (“so we can order your T-shirt”).
- Never ask for documents or ID numbers in a booking form.
Try it for your next gathering
Free to start. Guests pay you directly; Yano never holds your ticket money. Free events cost nothing.
Questions people ask
Can I change questions after people have booked?
Yes, from Edit. Answers already given stay on those bookings.
