For organisers
For pottery, painting and craft workshops: fill small batches without the chase
Workshops have fixed costs — clay, canvases, an instructor — and small batches. Half-empty classes lose money; overfull ones disappoint people.
Only run a batch when it fills
Turn on the minimum guest goal with your break-even number (say 8). People reserve for free; when 8 join, everyone gets a payment link. No refunds if a batch doesn’t happen, because nobody paid.
Know your participants
- Experience level (first time / some / regular).
- Any allergies to materials, if it matters for your class.
- Instagram handle, so you can tag their work later.
Seats and groups
Set the number of seats and a maximum per booking (say 2), so one person can’t take half the batch.
Multi-week courses
A 4-week course can be one event across several days: sell one pass for all sessions, and the scanner lets each pass in once per day.
Book from your own website
Paste a two-line snippet into your studio’s WordPress, Wix or Webflow site — a Book button or a ticket card. Payments still go straight to you.
Try it for your next gathering
Free to start. Guests pay you directly; Yano never holds your ticket money. Free events cost nothing.
Questions people ask
Can I take a deposit and the rest in class?
Yes. Give the ticket type an advance and a balance; the scanner shows what’s still due at the door.
Can I repeat the same workshop every Sunday?
Yes. “Repeat this event” copies everything — tickets, questions, payment — and you only pick the new date.
