How to Scan QR Tickets at the Gate using a Phone Browser

Direct Answer: Event volunteers and security bouncers scan tickets by visiting yano.club/scan on any smartphone (iOS Safari or Android Chrome) and entering the event’s 6-digit gate code. No hardware scanners or app installations are required. Passes validate in 0.1 seconds with cryptographic HMAC verification and live entry counts.

Bouncer SOP: Step-by-Step Gate Protocol

  1. Open yano.club/scan on any smartphone camera browser.
  2. Enter the event 6-digit Gate Code (e.g. 498210).
  3. Allow camera permissions when prompted.
  4. Scan guest QR code:
    • Green Screen + Audio Beep: Valid Pass · Admit Guest immediately.
    • Red Screen + Buzz: Already Scanned · Screen shows the exact previous check-in time.
  5. If an attendee’s phone died, tap Lookup by Phone to check them in manually with their 10-digit number.
